A series of new patents spotted by Patently Apple refer to the Apple Pencil working with an iPhone, as well as illustrating it being used with additional stock iOS apps like iMovie. A comment by Tim Cook back in September seemed to suggest that Apple is already testing the Apple Pencil with an iPhone … If you’ve ever seen what can be created with that pencil on an iPad or an iPhone, it’s really unbelievable....

We passed up the New York Times iPhone story earlier because it didn’t really contain any new product information. Netflix will produce a Big Mouth spinoff entitled Human Resources, as revealed at New York Comic-Con. The upcoming series aligns with the streaming service’s existing partnership with Brutus Pink - a production company formed by Kelly Galuska and Big Mouth’s co-creators: Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett. Big Mouth follows a group of New York teenagers who grapple with their sexual feelings and insecurities. The surrealistic animated series is based on the childhood experiences of the aforementioned Kroll and Goldberg, with the former voicing one of the primary leads, Nick Birch....

Will Netflix release Queen Sono season 2? Created by comedian Kagiso Lediga, the six-episode Queen Sono season 1 marks the first African original series for the streaming service, and stars Quantico actress Pearl Thusi as a government spy. The ground-breaking series originally debuted in February 2020. Queen Sono season 1 on Netflix follows the titular protagonist (Thusi) as she deals with personal and professional conflict. At work, Queen senses that the Special Operations Group Chief Director, Sid (Sechaba Morojele), may have ulterior motives while pursuing leads....

All of a sudden, it seems like everyone has been talking about one juicy and addictive TV show: Netflix’s You. The rebooted Hellboy is getting a new trailer next week, and the character’s creator Mike Mignola promises this one will be better. Stranger Things star David Harbour headlines the rebooted Hellboy as the titular demonic superhero, with Resident Evil’s Milla Jovovich as the villainous Nimue the Blood Queen and Deadwood’s Ian McShane as Professor Bruttenholm. Mignola originally created Hellboy, a half-demon summoned to earth as a baby who becomes a superhero armed with the mythic Right Hand of Doom, for Dark Horse comics in the early 1990s....

A new datamine leak from Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends hints at a new character called Prophet and their impressive special skillset. As well as hints of a new Survival Mode, the latest datamine has unearthed some interesting details about potential characters who could join the game’s roster. Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick confirm the next film in the series will be R-rated, even though it’ll be at Marvel. Earlier this year, Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox became official, meaning the Mouse House now has the film rights to the various Marvel characters Fox controlled, like the X-Men and Fantastic Four. During July’s San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige revealed new movies for both of those properties are in development, though it is unknown when they will actually be released....
