X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner is hopeful upcoming spinoff The New Mutants will still get a theatrical release, after reports the movie was heading straight to Hulu. Both New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix have been problematic productions for Fox. Fox’s X-Men franchise may be over now that Disney purchased the studio and plans to introduce the mutants in the MCU, but comic book franchise is set to have one final hurrah in April when New Mutants finally releases after a long delay. Cupertino-based Apple is set to open its first Apple Store in Shenzhen, China on Nov. 3 at 9 a.m., as confirmed on its website earlier this morning. The store is located in Yitian Holiday Plaza at Nanshan district of Shenzhen, and it marks the seventh store in China. Apple CEO Tim Cook and company are moving aggressively into the country to keep up with their 2010 goal of 25 stores by the end of 2012....

Netflix and the BBC’s Dracula has revealed its official cast and directors, as production continues on the series. The latest in a long line of shows and movies based on Bram Stoker’s vampire classic hales from Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. Much like their work on the famous Sherlock Holmes re-imagining, the show’s first season will be composed of three 90-minute episodes, all of which are written and produced by Gatiss and Moffat....
