Despite a two year delay from its initial release date due to planned reshoots (which never happened), followed by Disney’s acquisition of Fox, New Mutants is finally headed to theaters this April. Instead of being the start of a new trilogy and having a big impact on the future of the X-Men franchise, New Mutants will instead be the last movie in the defunct Fox X-Men franchise before the MCU incorporates presumably new versions of the characters....

Apple announced during the iPhone 6s keynote earlier this month that the phone would include a second-generation Touch ID system that was much faster than its predecessor. Now that iPhone buyers are starting to get their handsets delivered, it’s possible to test just how much faster. New York Knicks’ Marcus Morris has been criticized for making sexist comments about Memphis Grizzlies player Jae Crowder. The comments happened during an interview with Morris, where he negatively compared Crowder’s skills to a woman’s. 30-year-old Morris became a professional NBA player in 2011 when he was drafted by the Houston Rockets. He then moved around from the Phoenix Suns to the Detroit Pistons to the Boston Celtics until finally joining the New York Knicks last year....

Young love, it doesn’t exactly apply to Geralt of Rivia since he’s technically in his senior years already, but he gets no shortage of youthful and vigorous romance in The Witcher franchise. Thankfully, the Netflix show stayed faithful to this formula by showering Geralt with all the dysfunctional love and romantic opportunities he can have. Following our reports that Apple is gearing up to release updated AirPort Extremes and Time Capsules with software update caching, we have discovered references to unreleased AirPort Extremes and Time Capsules inside the code of Apple’s latest AirPort Utility update. Specifically, this code references a 5th Generation AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n capability and a 4th Generation Time Capsule with 802.11n capability (shown above). Additionally, code from previous versions of AirPort Utility (and this new version) confirms Apple’s plan for including software update caching in future AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule models....

Apple will be expanding its retail operations to three new locations in Florida, New Hampshire, and Scotland this week. The first store will open on Thursday at Sarasota, Florida’s University Town Center. The second will be located in the Mall of New Hampshire (pictured above) in Manchester and will open on Saturday, October 18th (via MacRumors). Edinburgh, Scotland is also due for a new Apple Store opening at 10 Princes Street on Saturday, October 18th....

Apple launched iOS 7.1 this morning after what seemed like an eternity in beta, making the first major update to the mobile OS since it was redesigned last year. Included in the update are several key features such as CarPlay, but also a collection of smaller tweaks and improvements that make system more convenient. The tech giant published revisions to the advisory on February 17. Adobe originally issued an out-of-band patch on February 13 to resolve CVE-2022-24086, a critical pre-auth vulnerability that can be exploited by attackers to remotely execute arbitrary code. CVE-2022-24086 has been issued a CVSS severity score of 9.8. Adobe said the security flaw was being actively exploited “in very limited attacks targeting Adobe Commerce merchants.” Now, Adobe has added a further vulnerability to the advisory, CVE-2022-24087....

Apple is expected to release a variety of new Apple Silicon-powered Macs this year, including new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. A new supply chain report from Digitimes today backs expectations that the new 14-inch MacBook Pro will use mini-LED backlighting and be released in the second half of the year. Apple’s iPad has eaten the lunch of the nascent netbook industry, with major PC manufacturer, Asustek, lowering its netbook shipments targets for 2010’s third quarter in response. Netbook sales are in decline as Apple’s iPad prevails in new markets. Asustek Computer saw sales of its netbooks in the second quarter fall short of expectations mainly due to competition from Apple’s iPad.
