Netflix’s Living With Yourself sees Paul Rudd playing a dual role in as, well, himself.

The premise is that Miles Elliot (Rudd) is a depressed man who, desperate to improve his life and find happiness, undergoes a treatment at a spa that promises him a better life. Only he discovers that he has been replaced by a clone of himself. The originals are usually killed and buried, but due to some technical difficulties and malfunctioning equipment, the real Miles survives and digs himself out a grave, only to discover this weird predicament.

The first season, which consisted of just eight half-hour episodes, has been met with pretty good reviews and ended with a twist cliffhanger. So while Netflix hasn’t officially given it the green light for a season 2, it’s likely we’ll see one.

What questions do we need answered? Read on, only if you’ve already binged season one.

Will They Raise The Baby Together?

The cliffhanger ending revealed that Kate, Miles’ wife, is pregnant after they spent years trying to have a baby and were about to undergo fertility treatments. The thing is, she had just slept with both her husband Miles and, while away on a business trip, his clone, the other Miles.

So who is the father? Because they share identical DNA, it would be impossible to find out. And all three seemed ecstatic with the news. But what will happen once reality sets in? Will they live and raise the baby together?

Why Did Kate Get Pregnant So Easily?

Much of the talk in the series, and seemingly the root of the couple’s unhappiness, related to the fact that they were having trouble conceiving and Miles was so disappointed with his life that he would continuously miss his appointments at the clinic.

Sure, getting pregnant can be difficult, and it can also happen quickly. And there are lots of times where couples try and try and then, once the pressure is off, they get pregnant. But it seems odd that only after sleeping with the clone did Kate get pregnant. Does this suggest that the baby will be a half-clone baby? Or is this just a coincidence?

Will Kate Lose the Baby Again?

We saw in a flashback scene that Kate had previously lost a child and/or fertility treatments didn’t take. And it’s possible this could have happened multiple times. Could the cliffhanger ending only be setting us up for disappointment, revealing in season 2 that Kate lost the baby?

This might lead to Miles (the real one) deciding to let his clone provide sperm to see if Kate can get pregnant again. We know that while the real Miles had surgery on his appendix as a child, the clone shows no scarring. So it’s possible that real Miles can’t conceive while clone one can, and another loss of a baby might allow them to start over and use clone Miles as a sperm donor.

Will They All Live Together?

Assuming Kate’s pregnancy progresses well, how will they handle parenthood now that there’s a baby on the way and no way to tell who the real father is? Will clone Miles be welcomed into the home to live in the attic/home office and pretend to be a long lost twin brother? Will they be one happy family?

Or will clone Miles get a job and maintain his own apartment, stopping by to help out with the baby as needed while real Miles goes to work? It’s a strange situation and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Who Will Continue To Work At Pool Marketing?

We know that the real Miles was once a superstar copywriter at his marketing firm but seems to have lost his mojo. However, when clone Miles goes to work, he comes up with a successful, albeit corny, campaign that wins over the client.

Now that there’s a baby on the way and real Miles seems to have reignited a passion for finishing a play he has been working on, might he let clone Miles take over his job while he focuses on that, accomplishing both things at once? Or will he encourage clone Miles to find his own passion and job?

Will This Become a Brother Husbands Scenario?

Sister wives are common among polygamists, but could this become a brother husbands scenario where Kate lives and is intimate with both men? Technically, they are both her husband, after all.

Based on the end of the series, Kate has realized that the real Miles is the only one for her, despite his shortcomings. So clone Miles might just become a roommate if anything. Nonetheless, there are some weird angles the series could take with this one should they decide to go that route, though it’s unlikely.

Will the Spa Ever Face Justice?

The spa seems to have shut down its operations thanks to Miles’ call to the FDA that began an investigation. Chances are they’ll continue operating in some fashion, though. But most pressing is that since clone Miles revealed the truth to Desmin, Miles’ co-worker who initially referred him to the spa and underwent the procedure as well, he may retaliate.

Clone Desmin, now shocked and upset at seeing the dead body of his real self, and out of a job, is unhinged. There’s clearly more to his story, and we can’t wait to see what he will do.

Can the Two Miles’ Co-Exist Harmoniously?

The entire series focused on the serious friction between the two Miles’ as the clone version was jealous at what Miles had, namely his beautiful wife, and the real Miles was jealous of how chipper and upbeat Miles was, and how well he did at work and being the center of attention – not to mention earning Kate’s affections.

They seemed to have come together in the end with the news of the baby. But will they be able to stop competing with one another and use each other for their strengths? For the show to succeed, we’re bound to see plenty more jealousy and friction in season two.

Is There A Way For Them To Find Out Who The Real Father Is?

We’re no experts on modern science and DNA, but is there a way for them to find out who the real father is? It seems the only way could be if the real Miles discovers, with certainty, that he is unable to have children.

We did see him finally submit his sperm sample to the lab, but could there be more tests that indicate that he’s not able to conceive? If so, it would confirm, by process of elimination, that clone Miles is the father. Also, if they’re able to pinpoint the date of conception specifically, this could also indicate who is more likely the father.

Will Anyone Else Find Out?

We know that Miles’ half-sister Maia knows about the clone and seems completely unphased by it. But what about his parents? Is it possible Miles’ mom or dad might come to town to visit and hear rumblings about Miles’ twin brother (who they know he doesn’t have)?

How might he explain this? We can imagine some fun scenes should Miles have to hide his clone from others, with Kate having to help in the process. Will they simply pass clone Miles off as a brother or doppelganger friend? Or try to hide them and swap out, Parent Trap-style?
