New Spider-Man: Far From Home posters have been released, highlighting Spider-Man, Nick Fury, and Mysterio. The upcoming MCU film is seeing a lot of hype. It’s the most anticipated summer blockbuster of 2019, according to a recent Fandango survey.

There’s an atmosphere of mystery surrounding Spider-Man: Far From Home. Ever since the second trailer premiered, fans have been discussing the multiverse. According to Nick Fury, Mysterio hails from another Earth. Taken literally, this opens the door to massive new stories. However, since his first appearance in the comics, Mysterio has been deceiving others with lies and tricks. Marketing for Marvel movies knows how to hide certain plot twists, such as the Skrulls not being the true antagonists in Captain Marvel, and the Mandarin plot twist in Iron Man 3. We likely won’t hear any more details about the multiverse until release day, so discussion will continue.

Sony has released a few new posters for Spider-Man: Far From Home. First, we have a poster showing the three main characters - Spider-Man, Nick Fury, and Mysterio. There are two versions of this poster. The first features Spider-Man’s logo in the background, and a brighter Europe. The second replaces the Spider-Man logo with Mysterio’s, and a dimmer background. In addition to these, Sony has also released four character posters featuring Spider-Man, Nick Fury, Mysterio, and MJ. Check them all out below.

Many fans will probably be disappointed that Mysterio’s iconic helmet has yet to be featured on a poster. (At the very least, it was featured on a cover for Empire.) Interestingly, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Instagram lists the location for Mysterio’s character poster as “Multiverse.” MJ getting a poster speaks to her presumably increased presence in the movie. The trailer hints that a romance could be blossoming between her and Peter Parker.

There’s certainly a lot going on in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Aside from being the next part in the MCU’s Spider-Man story, the film is also serving as an epilogue to Avengers: Endgame. As we saw in the trailer, the film directly addresses the death of Iron Man, and the impact it’s had on Peter. Kevin Feige said Marvel won’t reveal its plans for Phase 4 until after the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home. With Tony Stark dead, Steve Rogers no longer Captain America, and Thor joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, there’s a bold new era coming for Marvel films. First however, we’ll have to see how Spider-Man: Far From Home wraps up Phase 3.
