This time, the source suggests that that Apple has an update for the iMac and Mac mini coming soon. According to a DisplaySearch analyst report published in the Nikkei, via CNET, both LG and Sharp are having trouble ramping production of the iPad mini’s 7.9inch Retina display. The report states that Sharp is struggling to produce any level of output at all. This corroborates with a Digitimes report from earlier this week. Apparently, Sharp’s Oxide TFT process is to blame for the low yield rates. The Nikkei report says that LG is having more success, but still operating substantially below maximum capacity....

THQ Nordic acquired the TimeSplitters IP a year ago, saying it had plans for the future of the series. However, nothing about those plans has come to light until now. Developed by former Rare employees who went on to found Free Radical, the games followed in the footsteps of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark while taking full advantage of the next generation of consoles....
All the stars are starting to align for NBC’s pilot Lincoln, as Arielle Kebbel has been cast as the female lead. Lincoln is based on novels by Jeffery Deaver, and the film The Bone Collector, which starred Denzel Washington, Queen Latifah, and Angelina Jolie. Kebbel will star as Amelia, the role played by Jolie in the film. Kebbel recently starred on NBC’s supernatural drama series, Midnight, Texas, which was canceled after two seasons....
According to a new report from supply chain blog Macotakara, Apple could be in the process of developing a revised 7th generation iPod touch. Further, the report says the 2019 iPhone might make the jump to USB-C, just like the 2018 iPad Pros. The report is rather vague, with Macotakara citing supply chain sources. This model has hit the FCC ahead of an official announcement from Apple or Beats. The filings include a drawing of the new earbuds, and they look very similar to existing Powerbeats. Based on the code findings, we are expecting this to be a replacement for Powerbeats3, which are sold by Apple for $199. As Powerbeats Pro cost $249, that is the obvious price ceiling for the new revision. Outside of adoption of the H1 chip and onboard ‘Hey Siri’ detection, we are not expecting much else new from this particular hardware update....
