Apple today officially unveiled its all-new iPad Pro, and it comes with a price increase for the 12.9-inch. The price increase, combined with a new 2TB storage option, means you can now configure a $2,399 iPad. The new iPad Pro models feature the M1 chip inside alongside Thunderbolt/USB-4 connectivity. There’s also a new 12MP Ultra Wide camera on the front with new tracking features for video calls, as well as 5G connectivity for the first time....

AOL today launched a preview of an all-new chat client, available as a free native application for Mac OS X, Windows or as a web app. Of course, Mac users have been able to add and exchange instant messages with their AIM buddies using iChat, which supports AIM and ships built in Mac OS X. Anyway, what’s new in the new AIM app? You will be able to video chat via AIM as well (but not in a group chat) and exchange messages via Facebook Chat and Google Talk users, in addition to the standard AIM service....

Glee was the show that forever changed the way people viewed a capella groups. It was never cool to be apart of a group where you sang other people’s songs in harmonization, but all of a sudden this show premieres and they are doing covers of songs that most would find corny, and making them likable. Apple supplier Cirrus Logic Inc. has said that they are facing “manufacturing problems” with a new “audio device” that began “high-volume production” last month. The company is not clear as to which device is facing issues (or even if it’s for Apple) but the possibilities range from this fall’s new iPod lineup, the iPhone 5, iPad 2s, or even the white iPhone 4 that is said to have started production last month....

When you think of Hackintosh build, you may generally think of an Intel-powered rig in a big and bulky PC enclosure. That’s not the case for friend of the site Dom Esposito’s build, which took over a month to put together. His Ryzen-powered Hackintosh is neatly nestled inside of a custom Power Mac G5 case, providing a unique take on a Hackintosh build both on the inside and outside. A water-cooled, overclocked 8-core AMD Ryzen 1700 CPU serves as the brains for Esposito’s build, along with an Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti serving up the graphics....

Her struggles throughout the show hinge on her friends, classmates, and family members holding very different outlooks and valuing different things in life. Apple is currently in the middle of a heated dispute with Epic Games (maker of Fortnite) over App Store terms, as the company sees the number of antitrust investigations targeting App Store policy continue to grow. Now, the news publishers are joining in too. A letter signed by a trade group that represents top newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and the Washington Post says that Apple’s rules prevent them from investing in quality journalism....

Netflix has ordered The Haunting of Hill House season 2, which will focus on a new story and characters. A loose adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s 1959 gothic horror novel, The Haunting of Hill House season 1 told the tale of the Crain family and how their lives are forever shattered after they spend a summer fixing up the eponymous manor, Hill House. Season 1 was widely praised for the way it uses supernatural horror tropes to explore themes of addiction and emotional trauma, in addition to its acting and craftsmanship (most notably, one of the episodes was filmed as a collection of long takes edited to seamlessly flow together)....

Brought up by an abusive family and led to believe she was worthless due to her elf blood and her “twisted spine”, she had some severe problems. She was recruited as a sorceress and managed to leave her past behind, growing into one of the most powerful mages the continent has ever seen, and she demonstrates how awesome she is time and time again over the course of the first season....

Anthem’s latest update has taken away one of the only additions to the title’s endgame content since its release, as the patch released today has removed Elysian Cashes from the game. Elysian Caches were only added just over a month ago, and were designed to reward players for completing Strongholds and keeping up with the game’s daily challenges — essentially, Elysian Caches were one of the only endgame rewards available, and were incentives for players sticking with the game during its most troubled times....

SamMobile is allegedly saying that the Galaxy S6 will be equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel front one. It seems that both sensors will be made in-house. This does seem to be pretty realistic, if we corroborate it with previous rumors which were suggesting the protruding camera could make the handset wobble when placed on its back. As for the front-facing camera, it’s said to be the same as the one found on the Galaxy A series....

So far, various comparisons have pit the iPhone 11 Pro agains the Pixel 4, DSLR cameras, and more. This evening, YouTuber MKBHD is out with a new video comparing the original iPhone from 2007 to the iPhone 11 Pro. From a design perspective, the changes are rather obvious. The original iPhone featured a small but thick form factor, measuring in with a 3.5-inch screen. Over the years, the iPhone has gotten significantly bigger, and it’s neat to see the comparison between now and 2007....
