Apple announced updated iPad Pro and Macs today that are more powerful, thinner, and lighter. But along with all the advancements come more expensive prices. While the new tablet starts at $800, a maxed out iPad Pro costs almost $2,000 and that’s without any accessories. The new MacBook Air and Mac mini also become quite expensive with upgrades, going north of $2,500 and $4,000, respectively. The new 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models start at $150 and $200 dollars more expensive, respectively, than last year’s lineup....

Apple has released the public version of iOS 12.2, which includes the launch of the company’s brand new Apple News+ subscription service for magazines. The update, which is available for all eligible iPhone, iPads, and the iPod touch, includes a bevy of new changes, features and enhancements. Needless to say, iOS 12.2 is a massive update, and likely the last big update before iOS 13 launches in beta later this year....

Update: A filing with TENAA – China’s equivalent of the FCC – seemingly also confirms that the iPhone X has 3GB RAM. This was first reported earlier this month by developer Steve Troughton-Smith, after a leak of the iOS 11 GM allowed people to go hunting through the code for clues to the new hardware. The filing was spotted by Steve Hemmerstoffer. With the introduction of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple slightly raised the price of each device....

Ziva David returns in NCIS season 17, and the reason why she’s come back has finally been revealed. While not an original member of the NCIS team, Cote de Pablo’s Ziva joined the popular drama in its third season after her predecessor, Caitlin Todd, was killed by Ziva’s brother. So, she helped the NCIS team ultimately defeat (and kill) her half-brother. After that, it didn’t take too long for the former Israeli Mossad officer to become a permanent member of the NCIS team and for the actress to become a series regular....

Watching the stalker thriller YOU is a tricky experience as there’s a fine line between enjoying the story and realizing that Joe Goldberg is a crazy killer who is super dangerous. The actor who plays this character, Penn Badgley, is undeniably attractive and charming, and he of course brings those qualities to his starring role on YOU. But many fans seem to love Joe so much that they tend to forget the darker and more sinister aspects of his personality....

Apple will run its next special Activity Challenge for Apple Watch owners on Mother’s Day, which takes place on Sunday, May 14. Like with Earth Day or New Years, Watch users will be able to earn a special achievement medal and iMessage sticker (shown above). The challenge won’t be visible in the Activity app on the iPhone until Friday, although we have found backend references to it in the iOS code....

New set images from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier reveal a new look at Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. Marvel Studios’ inaugural Disney+ series won’t premiere until next year, but production is already in full swing at Atlanta. Because of this, several snaps from the production have made their way online - the latest of which offers fans a fresh look on the Falcon. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the show will see Captain America’s best buds Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier teaming up for their own adventure....

The “DataPlus” package is $15/month for 200MB of data transfer — with a $15 charge for any overages up to 200MB. AT&T claims 65 percent of its smartphone users will fit safely under the 200MB cap. The more prestigious “DataPro” package is $25/month for 2GB of data transfer, with a fairly reasonable (well, not compared to the prior unlimited plan) $10 per GB for overages. Tethering (including for the iPhone) can be added to this plan for $20/month....

Based on the popular and bestselling manga series originally written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa between 2001 and 2010, the latest trailer for Fullmetal Alchemist is all set to bring a big screen, live-action adaptation of the property’s peculiar blend of fantasy and science-fiction genre elements to life. Based on the seven tankōbon volumes - and the seminal anime run directed by Seiji Mizushima between 2003 and 2004 - the series revolves around the thrilling adventures of the Elric Brothers, set against a European Industrial Revolution landscape....

Netflix cancels the figure skating drama Spinning Out after one season. The series was created by a former competitive figure skater, Samantha Stratton, and it premiered on the streaming service in January 2020. Following athletes on the way to fulfilling their Olympic dreams, the cast of Spinning Out included Kaya Scodelario, Willow Shields, Evan Roderick, January Jones, and Johnny Weir in a recurring role. The drama centered around Kat Baker (Scodelario), an ambitious figure skater who is facing the possibility of retirement after a devastating fall....

While the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro was given more attention than the 12.9-inch model at WWDC today, Apple has brought more than just a new processor and storage bumps to its largest iPad… Alongside receiving the A10X processor and storage options up to 512GB, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro is receiving other hardware upgrades which will keep its specs the same as the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. New additions to the hardware of the 12....

The old Cinema Display (left) had three USB ports on the back and required a cable with separate power, USB and Mini DisplayPort connections. The new Thunderbolt display (right) adds Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire 800 and Thunderbolt, all fed to a computer via a single Thunderbolt cable (in addition to three USB ports, built-in microphone and FaceTime HD camera). So we’ve heard many rumors about the new iMacs and what appears to be the loss of the 17 inch variety. We’ve also heard that the old 17 inch might be staying on as an eMac. Add to that the reports of the death of the Mac Mini. This obviously leaves a huge hole on the low end side for Macs. It would be hard to believe that Apple would just cut off the under $1000 crowd (but not impossible)....

Fans will finally get a fresh look at The New Mutants, with a new official trailer announced for next week. Co-written and directed by The Fault in Our Stars’ Josh Boone, The New Mutants was initially scheduled to follow the massively underperforming Dark Phoenix installment as the next stage of the X-Men saga. Boone and fellow co-writer Knate Lee pitched the film as the first part of a new trilogy, based on the comic book series crafted by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod....

Pandora is rolling out an updated version of its iPhone app with a strong emphasis on personalization. Personalized genre and artist suggestions will now appear at the top of your list of stations, and a new thumbs-up icon on the now-playing screen gives you fast access to song ratings – as well as acting as a visual reminder that you only get the most from the service if you get into the habit of rating songs....

A new video published by Unbox Therapy provides a closer look at an alleged third-party case for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6 that was recently shown off in a set of photos. The case’s design definitely falls in line with previous leaks and rumors that we’ve reported on, but could be a manufacturer’s attempt to take a risk and get ahead of the game. The AT&T Netgear Nighthawk mobile hotspot launches today to anyone who is looking to bring 5G speeds to their existing devices. It follows an earlier limited rollout of a less-capable 5G mobile hotspot back in 2018… The latest device supports both sub-6GHz 5G and the much faster but shorter-range mmWave 5G. Any device can connect to it via Wi-Fi in order to get access to the 5G connection. CNET reports that it will be available to buy outright or on a 30-month interest-free installment plan from Friday....

ZeniMax announced a new chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online entitled Greymoor, which brings Western Skyrim and Blackreach to the MMORPG among several other new features this June. Much like the mainline Bethesda-developed titles like 2011’s Skyrim and 2006’s Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls Online has players create their own adventurer to travel across the continent of Tamriel, complete quests, and fight monsters, this time with the ability to play online with friends, create and join guilds, and many other features common to massively multiplayer online games such as World of Warcraft....
