Apple’s AirPods may be hard to come by, but those who have gotten their hands on them seem to love them. While Tim Cook has called the earbuds a “runaway success,” new data from research firm Creative Strategies and Experian show that the AirPods have an incredibly high customer satisfaction rate… According to the data, collected from 942 people, 98 percent of AirPods owners are satisfied with their purchase. 82 percent say they are “very satisfied,” while another 16 percent say they are “satisfied....

NBCUniversal officially took the wraps off its Peacock streaming service back in January and kicked off a limited release for Comcast and Cox customers in April. Now with the full launch arriving soon on July 15, NBC has detailed that Peacock will be available directly through the Apple TV app. NBCUniversal shared the news in a press release today that both the free and paid tiers of Peacock will be available across Apple devices in the Apple TV app as well as the standalone Peacock iOS/tvOS app....

Netflix is currently struggling to figure out the theatrical release plan for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. The director’s latest crime epic was originally set up at Paramount, who later balked due to the escalating production budget. It’s been widely-publicized that Scorsese is implementing digital de-aging technology so veterans like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino can appear as “younger” versions of themselves for certain scenes. The rising costs were no concern to Netflix, who eagerly went into business with the iconic filmmaker....

Originally, the ability was restricted to certain devices connected to only a few internet service providers, but now it is accessible to anyone with the right internet speed. According to a new investigation performed by Amnesty International, Apple is one of several technology companies using cobalt mined by child labor in their lithium-ion batteries. The report claims that Apple, Sony, Samsung, and Microsoft are all using the cobalt mined by child labor, as are electric car makes like Volkswagen and Daimler. There are a handful of steps before the cobalt actually gets to an iPhone, however. Traders first purchase the mined cobalt from small producers, then sell it to Congo Dongfang Mining, which is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Ltd, a Chinese mineral retailer....

Peter Jackson’s 2005 King Kong was a lot of things - a period piece, an adventure, a tragic romance - but above all it was an action movie that had lots of scenes of Kong doing battle with other massive prehistoric monsters.
