Netflix is considering launching a companion service to offer things like behind-the-scenes content, tentatively named N-Plus. Surprisingly, the company doesn’t seem to be planning to charge an additional subscription for it, rather to make it a free add-on, with some content available even to those without a Netflix subscription … TNW reports. Steven S. DeKnight has stepped down as showrunner for the new Netflix series Jupiter’s Legacy. The first season of the show was about halfway through with production when DeKnight took his leave. This leaves about four episodes of the eight-episode run currently devoid of leadership. Jupiter’s Legacy, based on the comics and graphic novel by Mark Millar and artist Frank Quitely, tells the story of the offspring of a group of superheroes that saved the world during the 1930s....

Netflix just dropped the highly-anticipated second season of Sex Education. The series follows Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), the son of a sex therapist, as he partners with Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) to run a sex advice clinic for the students at their school. Season one was met with high praise from critics and was streamed over 40 million times soon after its debut. Season two was up to par, holding a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes....

Apple will again celebrate National Fitness Day in China with an Apple Watch Activity Challenge. Apple Watch users in China can unlock a special Activity award by completing at least 30 minutes of exercise on August 8. Disney continues its marketing for The New Mutants by releasing another unexpectedly great poster. The final X-Men film Fox finished before it was bought by Disney, The New Mutants will finally open in April, two years after its original 2018 release date. Co-written and directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars), the movie revolves around a group of young mutants struggling to control their powers who find themselves trapped in a secret facility....

New images have surfaced today giving us a closer look at the alleged next-generation iPhone display panel first revealed in earlier leaks (via MacRumors). The images don’t reveal any new information, but do give us a closer look at the part that appears to include new components thought to be related to the addition of Apple’s Force Touch display technology. Today’s report mentions that the source of the images claims the display panel for the iPhone 6S is slightly thicker and heavier than the previous generation, but the increases are small enough that users likely wouldn’t notice the change....

Netflix was yesterday asked to limit streaming quality in order to preserve Internet bandwidth for all the people working from home during the coronavirus outbreak, and the company has now confirmed that it is doing so in Europe … The request was made by the European Commission. Netflix has released several new images from its prequel series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, ahead of its August premiere date. Directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz, The Dark Crystal hit theaters in 1982 and followed a pair of heroic elf-like creatures, or Gelflings, as they battle the evil Skeksis on the planet Thra. A lot of fuss has been made today of last month’s discovery that Mac OS X 10.7.3 Beta 1 contains references to an upcoming video card from AMD dubbed Tahiti, likely to be marketed under the 79×0 moniker. The 28-nanometer graphics card is scheduled for release in January 2012 and will come in XT and PRO flavors, the former being billed as the fastest single chip card from AMD. A succession of cryptic clips posted online reveal that a new trailer for Joker is set to drop on Wednesday. The DCEU kicked off in 2013 with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
