We’ve known for some time that Apple along with the other tech giants have been on the European Commission’s “hit list” of companies it wants to regulate more tightly. Now, new legislation has been proposed in the EU that could mean serious changes to how Apple runs the App Store and its preinstalled, first-party apps. Reported by CNBC, the executive branch of the EU, the European Commission just introduced new legislation aimed at the tech giants that could potentially be voted on and approved soon....

According to sources, a KGI analyst report, and leaked parts, Apple’s next MacBook Pro will feature an OLED capacitive touch panel that replaces the fn-key row. Such a change has been hotly debated online, with opponents lamenting the potential lack of tactile response for touch typing, and proponents salivating over the type of software flexibility that such a setup might offer. Needless to say, the feature would bring the most significant change to Apple’s laptop line that we’ve seen in quite some time....

Ahead of Apple’s apparent October event to show off its upcoming “iPad mini,” two reports are showing physical mockups of the device. These mockups appear to both be identical to the iPad mini design information and previously leaked iPad design schematics that we reported on. The smaller iPad physical shown above comes by way of Apple.Pro, and it is sourced from online commerce website Taobao. The physical mockups show the skinnier side bezels – that we previously reported on – in addition to a very-thin design, a smaller dock connector and more....

Apple’s new 16-inch MacBook Pro is easy to recommend for replacing a MacBook Pro from 2015 or earlier. Debuting next week, The New York Times is taking the iPhone-only route with its new NYT Now app. The idea is simple enough. The director of the new Saw reboot teases a sickening death scene.
