What has not been questioned, and cannot be argued, is that Henry Caville’s performance as Geralt of Rivia has been completely engrossing and entirely badass. Having binged all eight episodes of the series first season, Geralt had a lot of standout moments....

Netflix updated its iPhone and iPad app to version 7.0 today adding optimization for the larger displays on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus introduced in September. The updated version of Netflix shows more content like titles and genres as well as previews of movies and TV shows when browsing for something to watch. Ad Age reports that Chase is running its first TV ad for Apple Pay, focusing on use in small businesses, and featuring Fun lead guitarist Jack Antonoff’s side indie band Bleachers. Chase said that Apple was heavily involved with the ad … The ad, out of creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi, features members of indie pop band Bleachers roaming Los Angeles in the hours leading up to a performance. The musicians make purchases along the way using their Chase Freedom credits cards — but through Apple Pay on their iPhones, not the physical cards....

A new trailer for Dark Phoenix has officially received a rating, meaning that it should get released soon. The movie will occur nearly 10 years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse, with a highly trained X-Men team regularly going on dangerous missions. After they get hit with a solar flare, though, Jean Grey loses control of her powers and transitions into Dark Phoenix, unleashing an enormous amount of power that threatens to drive her mad....

A new trademark filed by Nintendo is suggesting the company has plans for more entries in the Mario & Luigi series, even though its previous developer, AlphaDream, went bankrupt in 2019. In 2003, AlphaDream created Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for the Game Boy Advance, which was an RPG that allowed the player to perform additional interactions during the battle scenes, such as jumping at the correct time to avoid an enemy attack or pressing a button properly in order to deliver a more devastating blow....

Nexomon Extinction is the latest entrant in the monster-taming RPG mobile series from Vewo Interactive and PQube. It is the sequel to Nexomon, which came out back in 2017 and was recently ported for the Steam platform. Even though the game’s overall aesthetic and the gameplay is certainly inspired by the all-time popular Pokemon series, Nexomon: Extinction does a very good job of bringing its own unique touch to the genre....

At the same time, NBN announced the next 200,000 that will be able to upgrade from fibre to the node (FttN) to fibre to the premises (FttP). Apple published a new page on its iOS developer center Thursday night that lists a variety of resources for app designers looking to get the most out of iOS 7’s new look and feel. Most of the information consists of videos and documents that are already available to developers, but these were previously grouped in with other development resources rather than being set apart on a design-specific page. The page’s header lists both iOS and OS X as platforms where “exceptional user experience” is paramount, but the resources below deal mainly with iOS 7 without any real mention of OS X aside from a single HIG document at the bottom of the list....

A new filing for an upcoming MacBook has shown up on the Eurasian Economic Commission’s database. It’s possible the yet to be released notebook could be a 13-inch MacBook Pro with the redesigned Magic Keyboard and scissor switches that arrived with the 16-inch MacBook Pro late last year. Apple recently submitted a number of new filings to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The unreleased product that stands out is model A2289 and Apple detailed that it is a “portable personal computer” running macOS 10....

The Vin Diesel-led xXx: Return of Xander Cage failed to make significant waves at the domestic box office, but is currently the top-grossing film release of 2017, with an international box office total of $330 million (and climbing). Potential proof this morning that the next-generation iPod touch will — at last — host a camera, with French Apple website, HardMac, bringing us pictures of a new case design for the product.As you can see in the image above, the camera is situated in the back top right of the device (when held from the front).
